Colon hydrotherapy (colonic) is a holistic alternative for addressing digestive issues such as constipation, gas/bloating and IBS symptoms. The purified water cleansing of the colon detoxifies and hydrates the body and stimulates the natural peristalsis (movement) of the colon. Colon irrigation has been practiced in many cultures and countries since the time of Hippocrates, it is not a trend. In our modern world, there are so many factors that may contribute to sluggish gut activity, such as inadequate diet, lack of physical activity, stress, pollution and unhealthy environment.
Purify Colonics & Wellness only uses the LIBBE (Lower Intestinal Bottom Bowel Evacuation) open colonic system. The LIBBE is an FDA registered Class II medical device which gently introduces warm, carbon-filtered, UV sterilized water into the colon through a pencil-thin, single-use, disposable rectal nozzle, inserted 1 & 1/2 to 2 inches into the anus. The pressure, temperature and flow of the water are all safely monitored by an I-ACT Certified Colon Hydrotherapist throughout the 45 minute session to ensure a discreet and comfortable colon cleanse.
The LIBBE is equipped with a ventilation system that removes all odor from the room, as well as a clear viewing tube that allows the client and therapist to easily view the released waste for evaluation. The client's modesty is protected at all times.

As a retired RN with most of my clinical experience in the Home Healthcare field, I often worked with clients who suffered from lymphedema. I witnessed firsthand the kind of suffering they experienced daily and the increased health risks and complications that could occur. Like most things regarding the human body, there is no one "magic" cure or therapy that works for everyone. Managing lymphedema is life-altering and therapy options are often limited for various reasons or are prohibitively expensive. So, when I learned that Lymphatic Enhancement Technology can help some people suffering from lymphedema, I became excited with the potential to offer an affordable option for those living in Central Illinois. Despite the fortunate presence of a strong healthcare industry in Central Illinois, I am unaware of anyone else who can offer this kind of hope of an improved quality of life to lymphedema sufferers, and I welcome the arrival of LET to our area.
I would like to let you know how excited I am about the opening of Purify Colonics & Wellness.
I started getting colon hydrotherapy (colonics) in 2016 when I lived in Scottsdale, AZ as a way to detox my body after long durations of travel. It became one of the only things that would help me "reset" upon my return.
Since that time, I have been diagnosed with CIC (Chronic Idiopathic Constipation) due to medications that I must take for life. My doctors and I have worked through several different treatment options and the only thing that consistently works to help me feel better is Colon Hydrotherapy treatments.
In addition to treating my CIC issues, it also helps keep my skin clear, reduces bloating. assists in better digestion, and just overall makes me feel better for weeks after a treatment.
Unfortunately, since I have moved back to Illinois, I have been unable to receive regular treatments, as there is not a clinic that I trust in the area. The staff at Purify Colonics was mentored by the owner of the clinic that I frequented in AZ, so I would fully trust myself, or anyone else that was interested in getting a colonic, to make an appointment. I know I will be booking my sessions as soon as they are open.
Just sending you my thoughts on your new business.
Over the span of my 30 year career working with disabled and elderly individuals, I have observed repeatedly how chronic constipation can have a significant negative impact on quality of life.
People skip events and important activities when they need to use laxatives to manage their constipation, because they "need to be near a bathroom".
Research tells us that relationships and sense of purpose are crucial for successful aging, and we also know that constipation is a common problem for older adults. Your colon hydrotherapy service may provide an alternative to potential laxative dependency, and that can only be a positive thing. I wish you the best with your endeavor.
I applaud your efforts to bring Colon Hydrotherapy to Peoria. My family was first introduced to this essential form of therapy when my daughter was diagnosed with chronic Lyme disease in 2014. The disease does devastating things to your body when it is not caught in time and becomes chronic. It creates co-infections that encompass parasites. Unfortunately, the only treatment available in our area was a short term course of antibiotics, which is not the answer to the chronic disease. My daughter became bedridden for months. We made a desperate move and began a 6-month treatment in Florida. Colonics was a recommended part of her therapy and she received the therapy twice a week. The treatment was invaluable in ridding her body of the parasites and as a method to detox, as they were killing off the Lyme and mold toxicity. The bi-weekly treatments were essential and made a huge impact on her recovery.
I'm so thankful for supplemental therapies like colonics and appreciate your efforts to offer it in Peoria. There are so many families with a story similar to ours that will benefit from colon hydrotherapy.
After having had the recent privilege of learning about the services you will be offering in your new business, I am beyond intrigued and excited to visit Purify Colonics & Wellness and receive services. I have already spread the word to some family and friends that can also benefit from your services!
I can't wait until I make an appointment, and start a better, healthy comfortable life journey!
Thank you Cari!
